Today is good!!

So since I've kind of been keeping y'all up to date with my school ventures, I thought I would share this with you!! I HAVE A 3.0!!!!! I HAVE A 3.0!!!!!!! In case you missed it....I HAVE A 3.0!!!!

It has been over a year and a half since I could say that, and boy does it feel good!! You can see all the crap I have been going through. After failing O Chem, it has been SO hard to get my GPA back up! At it's lowest, it was a 2.73. So it has come a long way! I am hoping to God that I can get an extra loan, take a few summer classes, get my GPA up more, reach my 90 hours and get my HOPE scholarship back!! I will walking on sunshine if I accomplish that! It is definitely not what I planned for the summer, but you have to make sacrifices to get what you need!!

I am just so excited I can't even explain it! Things have been going wrong for SO long, it's hard to believe it could actually be going right!! This also means I have a tiny shot at getting into GCSU's nursing program (where I am now) again!

I celebrated by going to the tanning bed today! I sureeeely need it. I have not been tanning in years and my last summer was pool-less basically and I haven't gone yet this year either. Please say a prayer that all of this works out how I want!! I know I'm not in control, but God is, and He knows what He has planned, it's just my job to find out!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms that read my blog!! And to those of you who may just have fur babies like I do! We're mommies too in our own little way :)

Mother's Day is a bit awkward for me now, since my mom passed away almost 3 years ago. Gosh, I can't believe it's already been almost 3 years!! That's just insane to think about. But anyway, about the awkwardness. As bad as it is to say it, since I don't have any children yet, Mother's Day is really just another day to me now. I don't really celebrate it or do anything special for it. It's just another holiday to get through without my mom. The awkward part is when people don't know my mom is gone. One year, I was training for work at Publix on Mother's Day. The HR woman kept saying, "I'm sorry we have to keep you here, I know it's Mother's Day and all." Today, I'm meeting up with someone to sell some of my wedding stuff I don't need, and she said, "I hope we can still meet today, I know it's Mother's Day, so it's fine if we can't!" What am I supposed to say to that? "Oh, it's okay, my mom's dead!" It's just awkward and it's always kind of bothered me. I guess since I'm 21, and was 19 when my mom died, it's not the "typical" age for one to be without a mother, so no one really expects it. I just usually grin and bear it and act like I'm not an exception.

On another note, I am learning how to coupon and I love it!! I think I'm going to keep track of my savings each week and then post once a week with them! If anyone has any coupon tips, sites or anything like that, please share!!

I hope you all have a wonderful Mother's Day with your moms, and if you're in my situation, I hope your mom can find mine and they can party it up today in Heaven! :)
